Rolled to precise thickness tolerances
The thickness tolerances of GENIAL shim foils meet the international Standard T 3 (Stainless steel with a width of 12.7 and 600 mm are according to DIN EN 10258). These tolerances are even closer than required by DIN 1544 /DIN EN 10140. The technical information table gives information on absolute permissible deviation on thickness.

During manufacturing continuous inspection ensures our close tolerances are met.

Product information and product batch are marked The material can be traced back to the cast. In addition most strips are marked with thickness and production batch.

Metal foils, feeler gage stock and calibrated shimsteel from h+s are made of high quality alloys and rolled to precise thickness tolerances.

A close contact to our customers gives us an insight into their needs. As a result we have extended our product range.

We can supply many non-standard thicknesses between 0.11 and 0.29 mm in stainless steel.

We also offer a hardened stainless steel 1.4034 similar to AISI 420 in thicknesses between 1.00 and 3.00 mm

GENIAL can supply more than 60 different thicknesses from 0, 003 mm (0.00012") to 4.00 mm (0.157") in the following manner:

Up to 0, 06 mm in steps of 0, 005 mm

Up to 0, 30 mm in steps of 0, 01 mm

Up to 1, 00 mm in steps of 0, 05 mm

Up to 2, 00 mm in steps of 0, 10 mm

Additionally many thicknesses from 2, 20 to 5, 03 mm
